Area Overview
York Station is based on Imphal Barracks accommodating HQ York Garrison, 15 (NE) Brigade HQ, 2 Signal Regiment, Defence vetting agency and many small administrating units. Imphal Barracks is very accessible and within easy reach of the a64 just off the a19, one mile from the city centre. To the rear of the barracks is situated the excellent community centre called The Low Moor Centre, Families accommodation, the gymnasium and outdoor all weather sports complex.
