Area Overview

The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst is an area of historical buildings and monuments within an inspiring background. The Academy is just off the M3 on the Surrey/ Bracknell Forest border, close to Camberley, Basingstoke, Bracknell, and London and offering an abundance of local activities for single and married personnel as well as families.

Children and Education

As the Academy sits on the border of two counties, your address will determine which catchment area you will be in.

Transport and Travel

  • Buses - There is a service between Camberley Station and Aldershot, Bagshot, Basingstoke, Egham, Farnborough, Frimley, Guilford, Woking and Reading.
  • Rail - Trains run between Waterloo and Camberley twice hourly in each direction. The journey takes just over an hour. There is also a frequent train service from Blackwater to Reading and Guildford. For enquiries contact Camberley Railway station Tel: 01276 21103
  • Taxis - There are only a few taxis allowed on camp.

Shopping and Tourism

Leaving the academy through College Town Gate and turning left you will be facing The Meadows. At the Meadows there is a Tesco Extra and Marks and Spencer both of these stores are large and cater for a variety of needs.

Leaving the academy through Staff College Gate will bring you into Camberley town centre. There are a number of high street stores, such as Primark, Next, Early Learning Centre, Clarks, Boots, Army and Navy, Argos, BHS, Woolworths, New Look and many more.
