RAF Odiham: Burghfield is located 20 miles away on the outskirts of Reading, Church Crookham is located 7 miles away near to Fleet, Alton again is located 7 miles away to the south of Odiham and finally we have quarters located just outside the main gates to RAF Odiham.
Area Overview
RAF Odiham is situated 47 miles from London and 7 miles from Basingstoke. As RAF Odiham is centrally located it has a vast supply of facilities located within the surrounding towns, such as the Aquadrome in Basingstoke. RAF Odiham is located on the outskirts of a very small but pretty village which has a few shops and also the local schools are located within the village.

Transport and Travel
Both Odiham and Church Crookham have a bus service which connects with the nearest train stations of Hook and Fleet. The Hook and Fleet train stations are on the Waterloo line and regularly travel into London and to Southampton.
Alton SFA is within walking distance of the train station, which again has trains to London and the south. Burghfield has a bus service to the nearest town of Reading, which has bus and train services to all the major towns and cities. Odiham is 1 1/2 hours from Gatwick Airport and 40 minutes from Southampton Airport.

Dentist: In each of the quarter areas private dentists are available within a reasonable distance from the quarters.
Doctors: Each quarter area has a doctor’s surgery within the local town or village.
Sports and Leisure
RAF Odiham has a gymnasium, squash courts, tennis courts, swimming Pool, Spar shop, Officers' Mess, Sergeants' Mess, Junior Ranks' Mess and it also has the Sportsman's Bar which is an all ranks facility on station.
Shopping and Tourism
RAF Odiham SFA: The closest shopping centre is Festival Place in Basingstoke but Reading and Guildford are within a reasonable distance and also offer a pleasant environment for shopping.
Burghfield Quarters SFA: The closest shopping centre is located in the centre of Reading and is called the Oracle. It is similar to Festival Place in Basingstoke, offering a good selection of shops, restaurants and a cinema.
Alton Quarters SFA: The quarters are within walking distance of the high street in the small market town of Alton. There is large Sainsbury’s behind the high street, as well as a sports centre, community centre and a small cinema. For the larger shopping experience Basingstoke is the closest big town.
Church Crookham SFA: The quarters are situated just outside of Fleet which hosts a small shopping centre and the towns of Aldershot and Farnham are close by.
