Area Overview
Fareham is a small market town midpoint between Portsmouth and Southampton. The Large Village of Stubbington is to the south of the town. Stubbington has good beaches a small village centre and good park areas for both children and dog walkers. Titchfield abuts Stubbington, they are joined primarily through the wildlife haven which attracts lots of visitors.

Transport and Travel
‘First’ have a very comprehensive bus service around Fareham and Gosport which includes a late night service. Fareham has a mainline railway station. Southampton Airport has flights to National & International destinations regularly. The Ferry terminals at Portsmouth and Southampton are within easy reach. Both Heathrow and Gatwick are approximately 90 minutes away.
The M27 runs across the south coast linking Fareham across to Chichester ad West Sussex (via A27) and Bournemouth. Winchester is approximately 35 mins via the M3 and London approximately 1 hour 20 mins again up the M3. Commuting in the morning is busy whereever you are going Stubbington/Titchfield to HMS Collingwood can take an hour even though its less than 5 miles if you time it wrong, the Main Dockyard can be similar.
Pets
There are Vets in Stubbington, part of a large area wide group called Alver , which means they offer quite a good 24hr service, although it may mean going to one of their other surgeries
Medical and Dental
Stubbington has a single doctors surgery, which is under high demand and not the most effective. There are also surgeries in Lee on the Solent, Titchfield and Fareham have several doctors’ surgeries covering the area. There is however, only a limited NHS Dental provision. (An access centre in Fareham is available). There are 2 hospitals for the area, one of which is Gosport War Memorial hospital. The nearest A & E is Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham (about 25mins away). For Service Personnel, HMS Collingwood has a Medical & Dental Centre.
Sports and Leisure
There are a number of Sailing clubs along the Solent at Hill Head and Titchfield, there are lots of waterbased activities, kite surfers are often seen from the Stubbington beaches and jet skiers congregate near the hovercraft centre in Lee on the Solent. There are a number of youth and adult fottball teams in the area, along with scouts, guides.There is a Cinema in Fareham, along iwth a Theatre
Fareham has an extensive leisure centre that has a very good gym and swimming pool that provides swimming lessons. HMS Collingwood also has a pool and gym (SARC) which is open to families they also have a creche available.
Shopping and Tourism
Fareham has a large Asda and Sainsbury close to the town and a Tesco is currently being built, there is a waitrose in Gosport]. All supermarkets provide a delivery service. Fareham has a pedestrianised shopping area, which is a typical high street with a small M & S, Waterstones, TK Maxx, Boots, BHS,WH Smiths . There are good parking facilities.
You are midpoint between Portsmouth and Southampton. Portsmouth has Gunwharf Quays, an outlet centre which also includes a cinema, bowling, casino and many restaurants. Southampton has West Quays which has a large John Lewis and all the usual high street stores and is opposite a new Ikea
