Eastney

Eastney is a district located in the south east corner of Portsmouth, England on Portsea Island.

The Area

Eastney married quarters is situated on what used to be a large married quarters, but as the Royal Navy has decreased in size, then so have the surrounding married quarters. The patch consists of a mixture of housing and flats. There is a Londis shop and a fish in chip shop at the front of the estate. Along Fort Cumberland road is a block of flats belonging to a private landlord, these are let out to people on low incomes. Southsea beach is 3 mins walk from the houses.

Houses

There are 53 houses. These are of a good size and have 3 bedrooms. There is a small front garden and a large rear garden.

Flats

There are 120 flats arranged into 10 blocks. Each Block has 12 Flats split over 3 floors. Most have sea views. The flats have 2 bedrooms, a lounge, a bathroom and a kitchen. There is also a shared balcony with the adjacent flat.
